Moving on Up!
I always liked the theme song to the Jeffersons. It’s very catchy! George and Weezy finally moved on up. Are you moving on up in your career?
I know with the current economy, it’s hard to think about moving on up when you’re just trying to stay period. But humor me.
How do you move on up in your career, really? Do you plan ahead 5, 10, 15 years? For those of you who have successfully moved up, how important is having mentors? Research shows that mentoring is imperative to careers (really life in general).
How do you market yourself? What’s your brand? How important is networking in your career climb?

Describe Your Personality
I read an interesting article in USA Today about how certain types of personalities thrive during uncertain times. According to the article, there are 5 dimensions of personality, ranging from high to low (read the article to get the whole picture). There’s also a quiz that tells you where you fall in the demensions. ( I happened to fall close to being a thrill seeker, risk taker).
Holiday Giving on the Low-Low or the No-No
Given the status of the economy (it’s funny how the “experts” have just figured out we’ve been in a recession for over a year or thought it was okay to finally admit it), holiday giving might be less than years before.
