Okay, been having a “pity me” party for a couple of weeks regarding my career. Don’t get me wrong, I love having my own gig (kinda makes you feel grown!). But I want more.
Is that wrong? Should I be satisfied with where I am in my life in terms of my career? In addition to my gig, I have a contract position as a Public Affairs Specialist III at my old place of employment. The place I just KNEW I had been delivered from. The place I would NEVER go back to. Lesson learned: Never say never.
Anyway, like I say, I want more. I know I can contribute more but feel like I don’t have the opportunity. What I have now is a job. What I want is a career.
