Are you green?
Not necessarily the color, but are you on the “save the planet” team?
At work, I manage the communication efforts of my company’s green and healthy activities. Quite interesting. I can’t figure out if they are doing it because it’s the right thing to do or because it looks good, or perhaps both. I’ve posted blogs on climate change and personal responsibility surrounding this issue and people have gotten down right nasty. (It’s bad when you have to tell grown people to play nice).
So my question to you… what are you personally doing to be green?
Me, I currently carpool (but that may change) so I’m trying to get on a vanpool. Gas is ridiculous and I’m convinced the prices will hit $4 in GA before the summer ends. I would love to telecommute but not sure if the request will ever be approved (that’s another story). I recycle at work but not so much as home. I know I should do better.

I’m terrible about being “green.” I am better at recycling at work, that’s for sure. And I am currently in the market for a bike so that I can save money on gas and bike the 3 miles to work. But that is also for selfish reasons since I will need a new car in the near future and a bike may prolong my car’s slow death.
Other than that… I like to reuse the plastic water bottles. However, I heard recently that even that is bad for you. Sigh.
