Ready to Buy

21 04 2009

I’m ready to buy a house.

The market is great right now. And my neighbor and his loud music sucks (seriously, I shouldn’t have to call the po-po for this). It doesn’t hurt to look, right?

I can’t take advantage of the $8,000 tax cut for first time home buyers since I already bought a home. Too bad. But I”m glad for folks that it can help.

I’m actually looking to downgraded. I’m not too picky. The most important thing to me (besides price) is the location. I’m currently 36 miles away (one way) from work and although I van pool, it’s still a drag. Plus I want to be closer to the city where the action is. I plan to keep my current property and rent it out.

So, I’m asking for your advice on the home buying process. I do feel I learned a lot the first time around (things have changed), but what should I especially look forward to? Should I look at foreclosures… what about condos… how do I find a good home inspector… how do you put in an attractive offer without paying full price?

Really what’s a good deal????

Look forward to hearing from you!

DHI Home Inspection

I have worked as a home inspector for 11+ years. We have inspected everything you can think of. I take the time to read and write many blogs and articles on home buying and inspection. What ever you do make sure you get the home inspected.

Thanks Mr. Salvato,
