Finding Love … on Reality TV

I must admit… I’ve watched those “I want to find my soul mate” reality shows. As I hang my head while I type this blog, I’ve watched the Bachelor, the Bachelorette, Flavor of Love 1 and 2, etc.
Even though I’ve watched these shows, I find it hard to believe that these people actually think that they are the ONE contestant that will be chosen at the end, win the prize (the man/woman/huge diamond engagement ring), get married, and live happily ever after.
I’m convinced that 90% of the contestants are really trying to become actors and appearing on one of these reality shows will be their big break (Side eye). So that means the remaining 10% are seriously looking for their true love. On TV.
Seriously??? I mean really??? What does the popularity of these shows say about society’s view on relationships and marriage?
What do you think about finding love on reality TV? Would you ever go on a TV show to find love?

I agree with you that these people are only looking for the opportunity to be famous. They are NOT looking for love.
